African black soap is a traditional West African cleansing bar made from ingredients like cocoa pod ash, plantain, and shea butter rather than synthetic detergents. Ours is imported and minimally processed to preserve its authentic character — expect a naturally rustic look and an earthy, smoky scent instead of added fragrance.

It's known for a deep, clarifying cleanse — lifting away excess oil and buildup while shea butter helps replenish moisture afterward. It's a favorite for oily, blemish-prone, and combination skin.

The raw bar is closer to how African black soap has traditionally been made, with a semi-soft, one-of-a-kind texture. The liquid version is the same authentic formula in an easier, no-mess format for daily use. Both work well for face and body.

Because it's a deep-cleansing formula, we recommend starting with short contact time and following with a moisturizer, especially if your skin is on the sensitive side.
