Frequently Asked Questions

What ingredients are in your bar soaps?

Our bar soaps are crafted with plant-based oils like olive oil, coconut oil, and shea butter, along with mineral colorants, kaolin clay, and either pure essential oils or naturally derived fragrances. Every ingredient is chosen with your skin and the environment in mind. You can find the full ingredient list on each individual product page.

Are your bar soaps safe for sensitive skin?

Many of our bar soaps are formulated with gentle, skin-loving ingredients that work beautifully for sensitive skin. Look for options like our Soothing Aloe Calendula soap or any of our unscented bars for the most gentle experience. If you have a specific skin condition, we recommend checking the ingredients list or reaching out to us before purchasing.

How long does a bar of soap last?

With proper care, one of our 4 oz bar soaps typically lasts 3 to 6 weeks with daily use. To get the most out of your bar, keep it on a well-draining soap dish between uses so it can dry out fully. Avoid letting it sit in standing water, which can soften the bar and shorten its life.

Are your soaps vegan?

Most of our bar soaps are vegan. Our Goat Milk soaps are the exception, as they contain goat milk. Each product page clearly notes whether a soap is vegan, so you can shop with confidence. We never use tallow, lard, or other animal-derived fats in our formulas.

Can I use your bar soap on my face?

Yes! Several of our bar soaps are gentle enough for facial use. Our unscented and sensitive-skin options are popular choices for face washing. For a dedicated facial cleansing routine, you may also want to explore our Facial Care collection, which includes products formulated specifically for the more delicate skin on your face.

What makes natural bar soap different from commercial soap?

Most commercial soaps are technically detergent bars made with synthetic surfactants and preservatives. Our natural bar soaps are made through a saponification process using real plant-based oils, which naturally produces glycerin as a byproduct. That glycerin stays in our bars, making them genuinely moisturizing rather than stripping. The result is a cleaner lather that cleans thoroughly while respecting your skin's natural moisture barrier.

Why do you use palm oil, and is it sustainably sourced?

Palm oil plays an important role in natural soap making. It contributes to a hard, long-lasting bar with a stable, creamy lather — qualities that plant-based alternatives like coconut oil alone don't fully replicate. We take its sourcing seriously. The palm oil we use is certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), which sets rigorous standards for responsible production, including protections for forests, biodiversity, and the rights of local communities. Choosing RSPO-certified palm oil means we can deliver the bar quality our customers love while supporting supply chains that are working toward a more sustainable future for this ingredient.
